R&D to Increase UV Resistance and Weather Resistance
UV and Weathering field test
Since tensile fabric structures and tents are exposed to outdoor environments, it is crucial to implement a high level of resistance to weathering. Our R&D center has tested the effects of UV exposure, weather changes, and high and low temperatures on Tentation® products through ASTM and DIN-certified testing methods and years of field tests. Wonpoong is dedicated to constant research and has developed the optimal compounding mixture for manufacturing structure fabrics that are highly flexible, yet exceptionally resistant to cracking. Furthermore, Tentation® products are not only remarkably resistant to UV and weather, but also equipped with an advanced self-cleaning system. It provides a protective barrier that repels dust, dirt, grime, and water, and prevents liquid droplets from causing stains. In the picture below, one can compare a product that has an advanced self-cleaning system with a regular lacquered product. It is distinctly clear that the product using the self-cleaning system is much easier to maintain.
